Angelo Sotira is the co-founder and CEO of deviantArt, an art work sharing site and social network. It has 14 million users, artists and collaborators. Users on the site lovingly refer to themselves as “deviants”; are able to sign up for a free account which comes with a personal profile, blog and space to post art work. Users also have the ability to chat, message and comment on art. The art on this site is amazing everything from photography to painting to collages of realism, abstract, still life, portrait and anima art. Sotira’s net worth $75 million.

Before deviantArt Sotira created music file-sharing site, Dimension Music, which he sold in 1999 to Michael Ovitz. Sotira never went to college because after Ovitz acquired Dimension Music, he wanted Sotira to work for him. Sotira worked with Ovitz on designing web skins blogging and advertising. Since 2005, devantArt has gone through major structural shifts within its administration and numerous legal battles.

Sotira is passionate about philanthropy and is involved with Charitywater.com, a non for profit organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Publishing giant Richard Clive Desmond is the owner of celebrity magazines: OK!, New!, and British national newspapers: Daily Star and Daily Express. He also owns British television network Channel 5 and Portland TV (an adult network). In 2010 he was ranked the 57th richest man in Britain and his current net worth of £950 million.

What’s so fascinating about Desmond is he started his business career at the age of 3! His father at the time was the managing director of a movie advertising company and due to an ear infection lost most of his hearing. Desmond’s father used to take him along to business meetings to be his “ears” That’s when Richard acquired his taste for business. Desmond’s, father later lost the family’s money to gambling which led to divorced. This forced Richard, his siblings and his mother into impoverishment.

Desmond started his life in publishing by quitting school at the age of 15 and working in a classified advertising section of a newspaper, while playing the drums at night at clubs. Shortly after he opened up a record store. In 1974 Desmond founded Northern Shell, which published Penthouse in the United Kingdom. Northern Shell would go on to publish many adult titles as well as specialist magazines about bicycles and fitness. Desmond acquired the named “Dirty Desmond” in the publishing industry due to sales of adult magazines. Northern Shell would go on to acquire other newspapers and magazine including the Daily, Sunday Express, and the Daily Star. Other very successful magazines include celebrity mag OK!, with a readership over 31 million.

Desmond has always been active in the music world. In 2003, he and Roger Daltrey formed rock group, RD Crusaders in order to raise money for charity. Since its inception the group has raised £14m with a series of fundraising concerts for charities. Desmond is a huge supported of children’s charities. He financed the construction of Richard Desmond Children’s Eye Centre, the world’s largest specialist pediatric eye clinic, treating more than 25,000 children a year.

Gomez is from Grand Prairie, Texas. Her mother is a former stage actress. Her parents divorced when Gomez was five years old. Selena’s father is of Mexican ancestry and she is named after Tejano singer Selena, who died three years after Gomez was born. Selena Gomez has often said that she developed an early interest in acting watching her mother prepare for and act in theater productions.

Gomez is very active in philanthropic causes such as UR Votes Count, St. Judes Children’s Hospital, and she is also a spokesperson for Borden’s Milk. She is the ambassador of DoSomething.org which help dogs in Puerto Rico. Gomez is the owner of six rescue dogs and describes herself as an animal-lover. In August 2009, a 17-year-old Gomez became the youngest UNICEF ambassador ever.

It’s crazy to think Lin was sleeping on his brother’s couch less than a few weeks ago, while playing in the NBA. Unsure if he was going to get a contract, he camped out on a couch in his brothers place unsure if he would be signed.  Now with a guaranteed $800k contract, Lin is looking for his own place to sleep in. With his action in the first few games, he’s playing more like a seasoned professional, than an undrafted rookie.

Netherland’s native Bay van der Bunt, is looking to sell his alcohol collection for $8 Million. His collection has 5,000 bottles and is considered to be the word’s biggest collection of old liquor. He has a cognac that dates back to 1789. The amazing thing is that he has never tasted any of the liquor in his collection!

John D. Rockefeller 1885

John D. Rockefeller, born July 8^th 1839 was an oil tycoon, investor, philanthropist and to many a robber barron. He created Standard Oil, revolutionized the petroleum industry and created the structure of modern philanthropy.  As gasoline became more important to America, Rockefeller’s wealth grew to the point where he became the world’s riches man and the first American to earn more than a billion dollars. He is often regarded as the richest man in history. Rockefeller’s net worth was $663.4 Billion.

Rockefeller aggressively ran Standard Oil for 27years until his retirement in 1897. His business partnership in Standard Oil began with his brother William, Henry Flagler, Samuel Andrews, Stephen Hardness and Jabez Bostwick in Ohio. Rockefeller was called a robber barron because at one point, Standard Oil had almost complete control of oil refining in the United States. Standard Oil monopolized the industry by buying all components needed for manufacturing oil barrels; this prohibited his competition from getting their product to the market. Additionally, Standard Oil cut its rates so low that it undercut its competitors. Other companies could not keep up with the low rates and went out of business.

Rockefeller was born in Richford, New York was one of six children. His father William was first a lumberman and then a traveling salesman. William was not a conventional father and was often away from home. He gained a reputation for shady business dealings. He cheated on his wife and at one point was a bigamist.  Rockefeller’s mother, Eliza kept the family together. She was a devout Baptist. Thrifty by nature she taught John and his siblings to save and the value of hard work. In 1864, Rockefeller married Laura Celestia Spelman and they had four daughters and one son. Rockefeller was a devout Baptist and gave 10% tithe to his church. He also taught Sunday school at the Erie Street Baptist Missionary Church and was a trustee and clerk of the church. He also provided janitorial services for the church at one time. Rockefeller adhered to abstinence from alcohol and tobacco throughout his life.

For 40 years after his retirement he devoted his life to philanthropic endeavors. Rockefeller created enormous amounts of wealth and he gave a lot of money about to charities. He founded the University of Chicago, Rockefeller University and was a major donor to African-American institution Spelman College (named after his in-laws who were abolitionists). He was a big proponent of medical research, education and science. His generosity helped eliminate yellow fever and hook worms. He founded Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research and the Rockefeller Sanitary Commission. He believed in educating the poor and founded the General Education Board in 1903, which was meant to give everyone the equal opportunity to learn.

Rockefeller died of arteriosclerosis in 1937, just two months shy of his 98^th birthday.

Are you tired of your basic 9-5, average paying job?  Do you dream of living the life of the fabulous well to do?  Do you feel like you are living life in the middle lane, when you really belong in the fast lane?  Are you realistic in knowing that the odds of stumbling across the wealth to achieve all your dreams is rather small?  Well, then there is in fact hope.  You would be surprised as to just how easy it is (with a little dedication of course) to find and marry your own sugar daddy/momma.

The supper wealthy are in dire need of love and commitment, just as everyone else is.  Often they find it hard to date because all the people they meet are from their own socio-economic groups.  Sometimes, the people they socialize with on a regular basis are only good for that, socializing.  But, to create a lasting, romantic relationship they often find that there are just too many preconceived notions, expectations, and competition amongst their own.  Many members of the upper class are looking for someone not within their class, someone who is a little more down to earth and appreciative of what they have.  This is where YOU have the upper hand, as long as you follow a few rules.

For starters you need to put yourself in the same environments as the wealthy class.  Shop in the same supermarkets, department stores, and boutiques that they use.  This doesn’t mean you have to spend the same amount of money as they would.  But while at the supermarket only carry a hand basket and buy a few items.  At other stores it is perfectly ok to browse around and not spend a dime.  Go to the fancier restaurants and bars, but only order appetizers and nurse one drink- you wouldn’t want to be drunk when meeting someone anyway.  Wealthy people can always be found at charity and gala events.  Volunteering at these events, which gets you in for free, is another great way to meet a rich suitor.  Another great place to volunteer is at a hospital or health clinic where you’ll get the chance to meet plenty of rich doctors.

All in all, with a little creative thinking, there are plenty of places to meet a wealthy person to date.  It’s once you’ve met them that your behavior becomes important.  The last thing a wealthy person wants is to be with a gold digger.  Don’t make it known how interested you are in their money, rather show interest in who they are as a person.  Be appreciative of when they do spend money on you, but don’t ask how much something cost.  It’s the thought, not the cost, that counts.  Try doing something nice for them too.  If you see a little something that makes you think of them buy it.  Again, it doesn’t matter if you spent a lot of money, but that you were thinking of them and wanted to make them feel special.  Don’t be too easy.  Super wealthy people are used to people always saying yes to them.  If you show some restraint, you will not only gain their respect, but drive them wild with wanting you more.  Before you know, you may be headed to the altar.  And, when that happens, offer to sing a prenup before they suggest it.  It will reinforce that you are with them for the right reasons.  And, in actuality if you were to get divorced, a prenup is more likely to help you as well.
